Kellie pickler
Kellie Pickler is among "American Idol's" top performers, despite not winning the crown. Kellie Pickler was born 28 June 1986 to Cynthia Morton Pickler and Clyde Raymond Pickler in Stanly Memorial Hospital Albemarle. The time she was pregnant she was just 16 years old. The childhood of Pickler was not easy due to her father's addiction to drugs and alcohol, while Pickler's mother had left her in the age of just two. Morton had custody of her for two years but Pickler admitted that things were not going well. "I remember my mom as well as me in the same kitchen, and I said to her "I'd rather die than being there with you. I'd like God would remove me.' She took off a knife from the kitchen and placed it on the counter. After that, she told me: "Here you go." I was in the fourth grade. It's true that I would never have acted upon it however it has caused an awful amount of emotional damage," she said. Pickler was given her grandparents by the court once she turned 12 years old. Morton failed to appear at the hearing. Pickler was raised by her grandparents throughout her life and cited them as the primary influence on her life. On January 1, 2002, her grandmother Faye Pickler passed away from lung cancer. The family she was raised by was her grandfather. Pickler was awarded her graduation diploma from the North Stanly in New London, North Carolina.
