She's worked for many of the top outlets worldwide. It was a long time reporting on various sports on behalf of The Washington Post, including tennis, football, and basketball. Nichols was hired by ESPN in 2004 and stayed for nine years there, earning two Emmy Awards. She also appeared on the most popular shows on ESPN like SportsCenter or NFL Countdown. She also worked as an anchor for Monday Night Football on the network. Then, she switched into CNN Sports as well as Turner. The first show she created and hosted was named self-titled Unguarded together with Rachel Nichols, and aired weekly on CNN as well as CNN International. The show drew over one billion viewers across the entire globe. Nichols worked at TNT as a journalist, reporting on NBA games including regular season games, playoffs as well as All Star television broadcasts. Her duties with TBS also included golf and baseball coverage, as well as Final Four broadcasts by CBS.
